David Tyler

David Tyler has over 48 years of experience in the aviation insurance industry. Following his education in Hertsfordshire, England, he joined the British Aviation Insurance Company in 1958 as part of their underwriting team. Ten years later, he joined the brokerage side of the business.
By way of acquisitions, mergers, and transitions, David served in several senior level brokering positions, including CEO. He currently serves as Managing Director of the Aviation and Aerospace Division of Colemont Insurance Brokers in London.
David is recognized as one of the most prestigious aviation insurance brokers in the world. His responsibilities include new business production, client liaison, and brokering for the worldwide airline industry. In addition to airlines, he also places airports, manufacturers, municipalities, and special use risks. He is very active in the reinsurance market, personally brokering accounts with underwriters throughout Eastern and Western Europe, the United States, and the Pacific Rim.
