Terry McDowell
CS&A Aviation Insurance Agent, Rotary-Wing Division

Prior to joining CS&A, Terry McDowell was general manager for the Truman Arnold Cos. (TAC Air) in Chattanooga, Tenn. Under his leadership, TAC Air won the "Gold Award" nine consecutive times, with several "Silver" awards for prior years. Terry holds a bachelor of science degree in aviation management and is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. He retired as a colonel, U.S. Army Reserve, in 1994 with numerous awards and decorations including the Distinguished Flying Cross, The Air Medal with 24 Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Purple Heart. He holds an FAA Airline Transport Pilot License and has logged over 14,000 hours. He also has several aircraft type ratings, as well as a flight instructor rating with fixed wing, helicopter, and instrument endorsements. He has spent 43 years in aviation as a pilot, instructor, examiner, and aviation manager. His memberships include the Army Aviation Association, Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association, National Business Aviation Association, and National Air Transportation Association, and he is currently a member of the ExxonMobil Avitat Council.
